enquire nowWhat is the Fight Team?
For almost two decades, the Bailey Fight Team has been creating Muay Thai champions across all weight divisions, producing 3 World Titles, 9 International titles and 12 National Titles.
Founder, Adam Bailey is a current Muay Thai World Champion and Captain of the Australian Team and if you’re invited to join the Fight Team, you’ll be taught by the best in the business, as all instructors are Muay Thai champions from Thailand.
You’ll also have access to premium training and competition-ready programs from Australia’s only Muay Thai gym with an approved WMC-IFMA formal grading curriculum.
Do you have what it takes?
If you have the right qualities, our professional Muay Thai training can teach you to be a successful competition fighter. You’ll need;
- Commitment – professional fighters in Thailand train twice a day, 6 days a week, so be prepared to make a 110% commitment. While that doesn’t necessarily mean 6 days a week, it does mean always showing up for training and training hard even when you’re tired.
- Endurance – you must be able to repeatedly launch and fend off attacks from your opponent, so if you have trouble completing your training sessions sometimes, you may not be ready for competitive fighting. Work on your endurance.
- Focus – you will need to have the right amount of focus. If you have a lot of other things going on in your life such as a busy social life or a new family or job, will you be able to give training precedence over all other priorities?
- Technique – if you already have some Muay Thai skills, are they enough for competitive fighting? Your technical ability is one of your most important assets, so make sure your basics are up to par.
The realities of fighting
The decision to become a Muay Thai fighter is not one to be taken lightly. Fighting is extremely competitive and only the very best will triumph. Things to keep in mind include;
- Money – no one makes a full time living from Muay Thai fighting, so expect to have to train others or hold down another job to pay the bills.
- Skill – hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. Skills and ability can only come through hard work and dedication. If you have great technique and endurance, even great talent can be defeated.
- Age – never let anyone say you are too old for Muay Thai competition. Your physical age is up to you and while age can slow the body down, it can also sharpen the mind.
If what we’ve told you has inspired you rather than made you think twice, it’s time to take the next step and apply to join the Fight Team. So contact us at Bailey Fitness and enquire about advanced Muay Thai training today.
